HyperX Launches New Pink Cloud Stinger Model
HyperX has launched a new cosmetic refresh of their classic Cloud Stinger headset, with a brand new pink colorway and the same affordable $49.99 price point.
The Cloud Stinger (official site here) has been an excellent budget headset since it first launched a few years ago, and new colors are always a welcome thing in the oft-monochrome gaming peripheral industry. The headset provides everything gamers need in an affordable package and the pink version is no different, with a built-in flip-to-mute microphone, 50mm drivers, and a sliding volume control.
I’ve always thought that the Stinger hits a perfect blend of features, performance, and value, and it’s fun to see the color options expand. You can read my original review of the 2016 launch edition right here, and check out my updated thoughts on the “S” version from last year that came with a surround dongle here. The new model’s pink colorway is pretty eye-catching, and I appreciate that they went with a gray accent instead of the usual white.
