Rethinking my Writing Schedule

Rethinking my Writing Schedule

Yes, this is basically a "producing content is hard" post.

I never really made a plan when I started this personal site in addition to writing regularly on Medium, and over the past few months I've tried a number of experiments.

I've tried posting articles in both places. I've tried unique content in both places. I've tried mixing up my daily posting schedule. I've even tried putting some stories behind Medium's paywall...with very limited success, so far.

I still want to keep writing something every day. I'd never be brazen enough to suggest that you must write every day or you must write a certain number of words a day...but for me, encouraging a daily habit has helped me out.

On some days I really don't feel like writing...and I just don't. Usually by the next day I'm ready to get back at it again.

I want to work on quality content every day, and I want more of it to start to appear here rather than over on Medium.

I'm going to work on more gaming articles. I recently bought an Xbox One X for some of the dumbest reasons, and I'm also a little puzzled by the hype over Nintendo's recent product decisions.

(Yes, that sentence was an excuse to link to those two articles).

(Oh man, and then I forgot to include those links in the original version of this. Well good.)

Thank you for taking the time to come over here to my weird little corner of the internet. The one thing that won't change is the main format of my content: the written word. While I really love podcasts and video, at most I'd only do an occasional one-off of either of that sort of content. I don't have the time to produce those things at the level I'd want to...since all of this stuff is still really a passion project and not my normal job.
